Overview
Kravyn Games develops and publishes free-to-play mobile games. To run those games — to save your progress, keep the servers honest, fix crashes, show advertising and comply with the law — we need to handle some information about you. This policy sets out exactly what that means in practice.
The short version: we collect the account details you give us, the technical and gameplay data your device generates while you play, and a limited set of information passed to us by platforms, advertising networks and payment providers. We use it to operate and improve the games, to support you, to show advertising and to prevent fraud. We do not sell your information for money, and we do not knowingly build profiles of children.
If you disagree with anything in this policy, please do not play our games or use this website. If you have a question about it, write to privacy@kravyngames.com.
1. About us and how to contact us
This policy is issued by Kravyn Games (Private) Limited (“Kravyn Games”, “we”, “us”, “our”), the company responsible for the games and the website on which this policy appears. In jurisdictions that use the term, we act as the data controller for the personal information described here.
Our registered office is:
Kravyn Games (Private) LimitedArfa Software Technology Park, Ferozepur Road
Lahore, 54600
Pakistan
For privacy questions, requests about your data or complaints, email privacy@kravyngames.com. For help with a game, account or purchase, email support@kravyngames.com.
This policy covers our mobile games and this website. It does not cover the platforms our games are distributed through, the social networks you may sign in with, or the advertising networks whose ads appear in our games — those companies handle your information under their own privacy policies.
2. Personal information we collect
“Personal information” means information about an identified or identifiable person. We collect it in three ways: directly from you, automatically as you play, and from third parties we work with.
2.1 Information you give us
- Profile details. The display name, avatar, country and language preference you set inside a game, plus any optional details you choose to add to your profile.
- Support correspondence. When you contact us about a problem, we receive your name or username, your email address, your in-game identifier, details of your device and whatever you tell us in the message. We keep this so we can investigate and reply.
- In-game communication. Where a game includes chat, teams, clans or similar social features, we receive the messages you send, who you sent them to and when. Some of these features are operated for us by specialist providers.
- Survey and playtest responses. If you take part in a survey, beta test or research session, we collect the answers and feedback you give.
2.2 Information collected automatically as you play
- Identifiers. Your IP address, mobile advertising identifier (the Apple IDFA or Google Advertising ID), device identifiers, and the internal Kravyn Games player ID we assign to your installation.
- Device and technical data. Device model, operating system and version, screen resolution, language, mobile network and carrier, available storage, battery state, connection type and crash or error logs.
- Approximate location. Country, region and city level location derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.
- Gameplay and usage data. Which game you are playing, install and uninstall timestamps, session start and end times, levels reached, scores, progression events, in-game currency balances, features used, and signals that suggest cheating or tampering.
- Commercial and engagement data. Records of in-app purchases, offers shown to you, offers you accepted, adverts displayed, adverts clicked and rewarded videos completed.
- Cookies and similar technologies. On our website and inside some game screens we use cookies, local storage and software development kits to keep the service working, remember your preferences and measure performance.
2.3 Information we receive from third parties
- Platform and social sign-in. If you connect a platform account, we receive the identifier held by that service and, where you permit it, your display name, profile picture, email address and friends who also play our games. We only receive what that platform’s permissions allow.
- Payment providers. App store operators tell us that a purchase completed, along with the transaction identifier, the item bought, the amount, the currency, the country and the time. We never receive your full card number or bank details.
- Analytics providers. Aggregated and player-level reporting on how our games are used, keyed to an identifier rather than to your name.
- Advertising and attribution partners. Advertising identifiers, campaign identifiers, information about which advert led you to install a game, and how you engaged with ads afterwards.
2.4 Children
Our games are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of digital consent in their country (13 in many places, up to 16 in parts of the European Economic Area). We encourage parents and guardians to take an active interest in what their children play and to supervise in-app purchases through the parental controls their app store provides.
If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact privacy@kravyngames.com and we will delete the account and the associated data.
3. How we use your personal information
Where the law requires us to identify a legal basis for using your information — as it does in the EEA and the UK — we rely on the ones named below.
3.1 To provide the games (performance of a contract)
- Creating and maintaining your player account and progress.
- Delivering gameplay features such as levels, events, leaderboards, friends lists, teams and chat.
- Processing in-app purchases and restoring past purchases.
- Syncing your progress across devices where a game supports it.
3.2 To support you (performance of a contract)
- Answering questions, recovering accounts and resolving complaints.
- Investigating lost progress, failed purchases and technical faults.
3.3 To improve our games (legitimate interests)
- Diagnosing crashes and performance problems across the range of devices our games run on.
- Measuring how features are used so we can fix difficulty spikes, cut load times and decide what to build next.
- Producing aggregated and anonymised statistics and grouping players into broad segments for analysis.
- Running A/B tests on new features, tutorials and interfaces.
3.4 To show offers and advertising
- Non-personalised and contextual advertising, based on the game you are playing and your approximate country, which we show on the basis of our legitimate interest in funding free-to-play games.
- Personalised advertising, tailored using your advertising identifier and engagement history. Where consent is required, we ask for it first and you can change your mind at any time.
- In-game offers tailored to your progress, device and region, so the shop shows things that are actually relevant to where you are in the game.
- Push notifications about events, rewards and new content, which you can turn off in your device settings.
3.5 To keep the games fair and comply with the law
- Detecting and acting on cheating, exploits, botting, payment fraud and abusive behaviour.
- Enforcing our terms of service.
- Meeting tax, accounting and other legal obligations, and establishing or defending legal claims.
4. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share it with the following categories of recipient, and only as far as each of them needs it.
- Other players. Your display name, avatar, leaderboard position, in-game achievements and anything you post in chat may be visible to other people playing the same game. Please do not share personal details in chat.
- Hosting and cloud providers. The infrastructure partners who run our servers, databases and backups.
- Customer support providers. The helpdesk platform we use to receive and answer your messages.
- Analytics and attribution providers. Companies that help us measure gameplay, crashes, campaign performance and retention.
- Advertising and user acquisition partners. Networks that serve ads inside our games, and platforms we advertise on to find new players. This can involve sharing advertising identifiers, device information and broad audience characteristics. Under some privacy laws this counts as “sharing” or a “sale” of personal information even though no money changes hands for your data — see the California addendum below.
- Payment and app store providers. The store operators that process your purchases on their own terms.
- Professional advisers. Auditors, lawyers, insurers and accountants, where they need the information to advise us.
- Authorities. Regulators, courts and law enforcement, where we are legally required to disclose information or where it is necessary to prevent fraud, protect our rights or protect someone’s safety.
- A buyer or successor. If we sell, merge or restructure part of our business, or in an insolvency, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. The recipient remains bound by this policy until it publishes its own.
Every supplier acting on our behalf is bound by a written contract that requires them to protect your information and to use it only for the purposes we have specified.
Third-party privacy practices
App stores, social networks and advertising networks collect information about you in their own right, under their own privacy policies. Their inclusion here is not an endorsement, and we have no control over what they do with information they collect directly. We encourage you to read their policies and use the privacy controls they offer.
5. Security
We take technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. These include encryption of data in transit, one-way hashing of passwords so that they cannot be read even by us, access controls that limit staff to the data their role requires, environment separation and regular review of our infrastructure.
No system is perfectly secure, and no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed. If we become aware of a breach that presents a risk to you, we will notify you and the relevant regulator where the law requires it.
6. Where we process your information
Kravyn Games operates internationally. Your personal information may be processed by us, by companies in our group and by our suppliers in countries other than the one you live in, including countries whose data protection laws differ from your own.
Where we transfer personal information out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on an adequacy decision covering the destination country, or we put in place standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or the UK Information Commissioner, together with any additional safeguards the transfer requires. You can request a copy of the safeguards we use by writing to privacy@kravyngames.com.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep your personal information for as long as you have an active account or continue to play our games, and then for up to three years from your last interaction with us, after which it is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
Some categories are kept on a different schedule:
- Purchase and tax records are retained for as long as accounting and tax law requires, typically six to ten years.
- Support correspondence is kept for up to three years after your enquiry is closed.
- Records of bans and fraud are kept for as long as necessary to keep the games fair and to defend legal claims.
- Aggregated and anonymised statistics, which can no longer identify you, may be kept indefinitely.
When we delete personal information we do so in a way designed to make it irrecoverable, including from routine backups as those backups expire.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live — including the EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil and California — you have some or all of the following rights. They are not absolute: we may decline a request where the law allows or requires us to, and we will always explain why.
Access
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you and an explanation of how we use it. We may withhold information that would reveal trade secrets or another person’s personal data.
Correction
You can ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete. Much of it — your display name, avatar and language, for example — you can change yourself in the game.
Erasure
You can ask us to delete your personal information. We may keep some of it where we still need it to comply with a legal obligation, to establish or defend legal claims, or to keep our games free of fraud and abuse. Deleting your account normally means losing your progress and any unused in-game currency permanently.
Objection and withdrawal of consent
You can object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests, and you can withdraw any consent you have given us at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened. In practice:
- Personalised advertising — change your choice in the privacy settings inside the game, or reset or limit ad tracking in your device settings.
- Push notifications — turn them off in your device or browser settings.
- Marketing email — use the unsubscribe link in any message we send.
- Cookies — manage them through your browser settings.
Restriction
In certain circumstances you can ask us to stop processing your information while keeping a copy — for example while we investigate a claim that it is inaccurate.
Portability
Where we process information on the basis of your consent or to perform a contract with you, you can ask for a copy in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or ask us to send it to another provider where that is technically feasible.
How to exercise your rights
Email privacy@kravyngames.com and tell us which right you want to exercise, the game concerned and your in-game player ID so we can find your records. We may ask for further information to confirm your identity before we act — this protects you from someone else making a request in your name. We respond within one month, and will tell you if a complex request needs longer.
9. Contact and complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please raise it with us first at privacy@kravyngames.com or by post:
Data ProtectionKravyn Games (Private) Limited
Arfa Software Technology Park, Ferozepur Road
Lahore, 54600
Pakistan
We would like the chance to put things right. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live, work or where you believe the problem occurred.
10. Changes to this policy
We update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our games, our partners or the law. The current version is always published on this page with its date at the top. Where a change is significant, we will give you clearer notice — for example a message inside the game — before it takes effect.
11. Advertising and user acquisition partners
Our games are free to play and are funded largely by advertising. We work with the categories of partner listed below, both to show advertising inside our games and to advertise our games elsewhere. Each of these companies handles personal information under its own privacy policy, which you can find on its website.
- Mobile advertising networks and mediation platforms, which supply the adverts shown in our games and decide which of several competing ads is served.
- Demand-side and exchange partners, which bid to place advertising in our inventory.
- User acquisition platforms, including large social and search advertising platforms, on which we run campaigns to reach new players. We may provide hashed identifiers to build custom or lookalike audiences.
- Mobile measurement and attribution partners, which tell us which campaign a new installation came from so that we do not pay twice for the same player.
We keep the current list of named partners available on request. Email privacy@kravyngames.com and we will send you the list in force at the time you ask.
Addendum 1 — California privacy rights
This addendum applies to residents of California and supplements the policy above. It is provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (California Civil Code §§ 1798.100 to 1798.199). Terms used in this addendum have the meanings given to them in that Act.
Categories of personal information we collect
In the twelve months before the date of this policy, we collected the following categories:
- Identifiers — display name, email address, IP address, device identifiers, mobile advertising identifiers, our own player ID, avatar, and platform account identifiers where you sign in through a third party.
- Commercial information — records of in-app purchases, items bought, amounts, currency and the country of purchase.
- Internet or other electronic network activity — gameplay events, features used, session logs, crash reports, and interactions with advertising.
- Geolocation data — approximate location at country, region or city level, derived from your IP address.
- Audio, electronic or visual information — the content of support tickets and any screenshots you send us.
- Inferences — segments and predictions drawn from the above, such as likely genre preferences or likelihood of continuing to play.
We do not collect sensitive personal information as that term is defined by the Act, and we do not use or disclose personal information for purposes other than those described in this policy.
Sources
- Directly from you and from your device as you play.
- From advertising networks and attribution partners.
- From analytics providers.
- From app stores and payment processors.
- From social platforms, where you choose to connect an account.
Business and commercial purposes
- Operating, maintaining and improving our games and this website.
- Providing customer support and communicating with you.
- Delivering and measuring advertising.
- Detecting security incidents, fraud and cheating.
- Debugging, testing and quality assurance.
- Complying with legal obligations.
Disclosure and sharing
In the twelve months before the date of this policy, we disclosed each of the categories above for a business purpose to service providers, other players (where the information is part of your public profile or in-game activity), affiliates, advertising and analytics partners, payment processors, professional advisers, and regulators or law enforcement where required.
Sale and sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising
We do not sell personal information for money. However, our use of advertising and analytics technologies in our games may constitute a “sale” or “sharing” of identifiers, internet activity, approximate geolocation and inferences under the CCPA, because those partners may use the information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
You can opt out at any time by turning off personalised advertising in the privacy settings inside the game, by limiting ad tracking or resetting your advertising identifier in your device settings, or by emailing privacy@kravyngames.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”.
Your California rights
- Right to know — the categories of personal information we collected, the sources, the purposes, the categories of recipient, and the specific pieces of information we hold about you.
- Right to delete — to have the personal information we collected from you deleted, subject to the exceptions in the Act.
- Right to correct — to have inaccurate personal information corrected.
- Right to opt out — of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
- Right to limit — the use of sensitive personal information, where a business collects it. We do not.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny you service, charge you a different price or give you a lower quality experience because you exercised a privacy right.
How to exercise your California rights
Email privacy@kravyngames.com, stating the right you wish to exercise, the game concerned and your in-game player ID. We will confirm receipt within ten business days and respond substantively within forty-five days. If we need more time we will tell you why, and we may take up to a further forty-five days.
Verification
Before we act on a request to know, delete or correct, we must verify that the request comes from you. We will normally ask for your player ID and the name of the game, and may ask further questions to match the request against our records. An authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf if they provide written permission signed by you, and we may still contact you to confirm it.
Shine the Light
Under California Civil Code § 1798.83, California residents may request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to non-affiliated third parties for their direct marketing purposes without your permission.
Do Not Track
There is no common industry standard for how online services should respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, and we do not currently respond to them. We do honour the advertising controls offered by your device and the opt-out described above.
